Kourtney Kardashian reveals what she eats in a day

The Kardashian clan are known for many things, but they’re not all contouring, cheekbones and alliterating names.

They’re also famed for their paparazzi-perfect figures and the intense regimes they subscribe to in order to maintain them.

So it’s no surprise that big sister Kourtney follows a squeaky clean diet, as she revealed in a recent post on her app.

The 38-year-old reality star disclosed what a typical “detox” day looks like on a plate – and it’s slim pickings, literally.

In addition to shunning most fruits and carbohydrates (grains, beans and legumes are not permitted), the mother-of-three also steers clear of gluten and dairy, reports People.

What does that leave, you ask? Not just iceberg lettuce, apparently.

Kardashian revealed that proteins and fats form the majority of her menu and she begins each day with a rich, creamy avocado pudding, which she claims is the perfect pre-workout meal.

The unique dish consists of one avocado, a tablespoon of cane sugar, half a cup of whole milk and a tablespoon of manuka honey, all blended together to create the Instagrammable treat (because #avotoast was getting old).

Lunch and dinner is a combination of proteins and vegetables, usually either fish or chicken with a side of cauliflower of broccoli.

Interestingly, Kardashian insists on waiting 14-16 hours after eating dinner to have breakfast.

She also insists on a no snacking policy, aside from the odd almond.

Then, there are the weekly fasting days, where the lithe-limbed TV star drinks only water and bone broth for 24 hours.

“On fasting days, I try to stay busy and, if I’m home, I’ll avoid going into the kitchen,” she explains.

Thankfully, this is a not a typical day for the busy mother, who explains that she hopes to stay on the detox diet for no longer than three months.

“I’m not going to sugarcoat it, this detox is difficult,” she said.

“I also know that I need to enjoy my life, so I break the rules when I go on vacation or if there’s a special occasion.”
